Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and NXT Financial Group LLC, a limited liability company doing business as FutureFlow ("FutureFlow," "we," "us," or "our"), and govern your access to and use of the FutureFlow mobile applications, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read Section 14 (Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver) carefully — it affects your legal rights. These Terms also include an end-user license agreement and platform-specific terms in Section 18 (Apple App Store) and Section 19 (Google Play).

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, downloading, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service; No Financial Advice

FutureFlow is a personal-finance management tool. It lets you connect financial accounts on a read-only basis, track transactions, set budgets and goals, detect subscriptions, and receive informational insights. FutureFlow also offers optional AI-powered features, described in Section 20 (AI Features).

FutureFlow is not a bank, broker-dealer, money transmitter, lender, credit provider, or registered investment adviser, and we do not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. All content and insights are for informational and educational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional before acting.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States or Canada to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Your Account

You may create and access your account using Firebase Authentication, Google sign-in, Sign in with Apple, or a passkey. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@joinfutureflow.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

5. Connected Financial Accounts

You may connect financial institutions through our third-party provider, Plaid Inc. Access is read-only: FutureFlow can retrieve account and transaction information but cannot initiate payments, transfers, or any movement of funds. You enter your banking credentials directly with Plaid, and FutureFlow does not store your banking username or password. Your use of Plaid is also governed by Plaid's own terms and privacy policy. You may disconnect any institution at any time from within the app.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal

FutureFlow offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans unlock additional features described at the point of purchase.

6.1 Purchases through app stores

Paid subscriptions are sold and processed through the Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android). When you subscribe, payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase. Your payment method and billing are managed by Apple or Google, not by FutureFlow.

6.2 Automatic renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (for example, monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price for your plan. The applicable price, billing frequency, and renewal terms are disclosed to you on the purchase screen before you subscribe.

6.3 Managing and canceling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

  • iOS: your device Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions; and
  • Android: the Google Play → Subscriptions center.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

6.4 Free trials and introductory offers

If we offer a free trial or introductory price, it is available once per user and is non-transferable. We will disclose the length of the trial or offer and the price you will be charged afterward before you begin. Unless you cancel before the trial or offer period ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the standard price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

6.5 Refunds and price changes

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are governed by the Apple App Store and Google Play refund policies. Please direct refund requests to the applicable app store. Except where required by law or by app-store policy, payments are non-refundable. If we change subscription prices, we will provide notice as required, and price increases will apply in accordance with the applicable app store's rules for obtaining your consent.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except as permitted by law;
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to access the Service;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service; or
  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.

8. Intellectual Property; License

The Service, including all software, content, and trademarks, is owned by FutureFlow or its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You retain ownership of the data you provide; you grant us the rights necessary to operate the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates third-party services, including Plaid (bank connectivity), Apple and Google (authentication and billing), and Google Cloud Vertex AI (optional AI features described in Section 20). Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms. We are not responsible for third-party services except as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that financial data obtained from third parties (such as Plaid or your institution) will be accurate, complete, or current. Insights are informational only and are not financial advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FUTUREFLOW AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (b) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FutureFlow from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time:

Deleting your account permanently removes your account and associated personal data, except for limited information we are legally required or permitted to retain (see the Privacy Policy, Section 7). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8–14) will survive.

14. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully.

  • Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@joinfutureflow.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
  • Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
  • Class-action waiver. You and FutureFlow agree that each may bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.
  • Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing an issue to the attention of a government agency.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 14, the state and federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter not subject to arbitration.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice by email or in-app notification. Changes take effect on the date stated in the notice, and your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.

17. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and FutureFlow regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

18. Apple App Store — Additional Terms (End-User License Agreement)

The following terms apply when you download or use the FutureFlow iOS app from the Apple App Store. These terms are in addition to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula, which also applies. If there is a conflict, these Terms control except where the standard EULA is required by Apple to govern.

  1. These Terms are between you and FutureFlow only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  2. License scope. Your license to use the app is a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  3. Maintenance and support. FutureFlow is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.
  4. Warranty. FutureFlow is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  5. Product claims. FutureFlow, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including (a) product-liability claims, (b) any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and (c) claims arising under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar law.
  6. Intellectual-property claims. In the event of a third-party claim that the app or your use of it infringes intellectual-property rights, FutureFlow, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
  7. Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. Developer contact. Questions, complaints, or claims regarding the app should be directed to NXT Financial Group LLC at legal@joinfutureflow.com.
  9. Third-party beneficiary. You acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

19. Google Play — Additional Terms

If you download the FutureFlow Android app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Subscriptions purchased on Android are billed and managed through Google Play, and cancellations and refunds are handled through the Google Play Subscriptions center in accordance with Google Play's policies (see Section 6).

20. AI Features

FutureFlow provides optional AI-powered features, including an in-app chat assistant, AI-generated insights, and automatic transaction categorization. These features are powered by Gemini models hosted on Google Cloud Vertex AI.

To provide these features, we send portions of your financial data and the messages you enter to Google Cloud Vertex AI, as described in our Privacy Policy. Before any of your data is sent, we disclose what will be shared and with whom, and we require your explicit agreement. The AI features will not function until you agree. You may withdraw your agreement and disable the AI features at any time in Settings.

AI-generated content (including chat responses, insights, and categorizations) may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided for informational purposes only. It is not financial, tax, legal, investment, or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such. You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.
